Hey babes! Here with another brand to check out! Benefit is a brand I’ve been trying out for a few years now, I bought the Party Popper Advent Calendar once so I got to try out a lot of products, I haven’t included all of them in this post because it would get too big and I’ve already misplaced quite a few like my Ooh La Lift and some glosses, oops!
Starting off with two Benefit skincare products. First of all one I use almost every day; the It’s Potent Eye Cream. This moisturizes deeply without feeling greasy or sticky on your face so it’s perfect for during the day or wearing underneath your makeup.
I’ve already discussed this Cheekathon palette in another blogpost if you want to check it out!
This Benetint was the first Benefit product I didn’t like right away, I’m still not a huge fan but I’m looking for ways to use it. It’s a cheek and lip stain. It’s a lovely colour and consistency but I just can’t seem to get the hang of using this on myself in a pretty way!
The High Brow pencil is such a lovely product, it’s a beautiful brow bone highlight and it’s so easy to use, it’s very thick and easy to blend out as well.
The Boiing concealer is the concealer I always use when I go out at night, it’s super high coverage and stays on extremely well, it even covers up my very bright orange and green pigments I use to colour correct!
Then some mini’s from my Party Popper Calendar. I really loved getting a box like that because I got to discover a lot of products without wasting a big tube or bottle! The High Beam and Watt’s Up are both amazing highlighters, my favorite one is the Watt’s Up because I find it a little easier and more natural to apply and blend.
Of the two mascara’s I tried out, Bad Gal Lash gives the best effect but I have the chubby brush and They’re Real is pretty as well but it get super clumpy very fast! Apparently the Roller Lash is the best Benefit mascara but I haven’t tried it yet!
A product that really disappointed me was the Porefessional, it’s a primer that fills up your pores. My skin just hates this product, when I apply makeup over this is kind of crumbles of or doesn’t stay. The effect isn’t amazing and I feel like it also makes me a little greasier and clogs my pores! Some of my friends love it though, so it definitely depends on your skin!
The two latest additions to my Benefit collection, the They’re Real Tinted Primer which I prefer so much more over the regular mascara because the brush is thinner, the colour is so natural and it doesn’t clump at all. And the second one is the Browvo Conditioning Eyebrow Primer, the brush pen is easy to use and nicely feathers out my brows, it definitely moisturizes but I can’t say anything about long term effects because I don’t use it everyday!
Benefit is definitely a very fun and unique brand, they have a bunch of new products as well which sound really exciting. Some products really don’t work for me but I think that’s the price you pay for innovating and creating one of a kind products, they won’t work for everyone.
Have you tried anything by Benefit?
