Hey babes! Here with another Birchbox review for you, I loved this months box design, it’s a little drawer, so cute!
This Defence Eye, Cooling Cream by BioNike was kind of a disappointment, I have very sensitive skin around my eyes and this was a gel based cream which is usually not nourishing enough. It felt a little harsh and the day after using it I didn’t notice any positive effects. This is supposed to help with puffiness which I don’t have very often but I do enjoy gels like this sometimes because of the cooling and calming effects, but I didn’t really like this one.
This Ciaté Nail Polish wasn’t really my colour, I gave it to a friend. I did test it out and compared to other Ciaté polishes I have this one was a little thicker and has a slight shimmer. It does take two coats to have good coverage but that’s normal for Ciaté. This didn’t chip as fast as Essie polishes do on me but it wasn’t as long lasting as OPI either.
This Savon de Marseille Extra Pur Menthe shower gel is very strongly scented, I prefer softer and more subtle scents for my shower products. It also made my skin feel a little harsh and almost ‘stripped’ of oils. I passed this along to my mom whose skin isn’t as sensitive as mine.
At first I really enjoyed this toner called ‘L’eau bleue des anges’ , it’s very fresh without hurting my skin and it got my skin very clean. But I suspect that this might have given me a breakout, I’m not 100% sure though because I only noticed the breakout about halfway through this sample.
I really enjoyed this hand cream by The Soap & Paper Factory, it’s very light and nourishing, it doesn’t stick too much, I did use it before bed because mostly, when I didn’t have to touch any screens or paper anymore. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the scent, which is ‘green tea’, but it just wasn’t for me, I’m very sure many other people will enjoy this scent!
