Incense burner & scent collection

22.4.18

I've been wanting to buy an incense burner forever but never got around to it because I always had candles and it didn't really seem like a necessary purchase. But I decided to put it on my birthday wish list this year and my friend Elise got me a beautiful incense burner and my two first scents of incense! Since then I bought some other scents at a stall during Asia In Antwerp and some other ones in a store in Canterbury. I thought it would be fun to share my setup and collection with you all!

I put my incense holder on my little fireplace edge, this is the place in my apartment that brings the most peace to me. I got my little buddha when I first moved in her, I keep it where I spend the most time to remind myself to take it easy and be kind. This is also where I practice yoga sometimes and it makes the whole living room more zen and cosy.

The incense holder is a basic model in wood with a little cute elephant detail and stars.

The scents I most enjoy are floral scents and warm scents such as ylang ylang or patchouli. I also got some blends that are named after the effect they have like the 'energising' incense sticks.

The ones I got from my friend are really fresh scents that are great to make the entire living room smell nice. Don't forget to air out any room where you burn incense by the way!

I love burning incense after a long day to feel relaxed or during my yoga practice and I always feel like it's a special treat to light a stick!

Do you enjoy the scent of incense burning or do you prefer scented candles? Tell me in the comments!

Thanks for reading!
xoxo Christine
